For Brands
Get your gear field-tested by someone who actually skis with it.
Backcountry Blueprints reviews cameras, comms, resort tech, and mountain gear for an audience of resort professionals and serious creators. Reviews are earned, not bought.
How it works
- You submit — email what the product is, who it's for, and why it fits this audience. If it's a fit, we'll ask you to send a unit.
- We test it for real — on the mountain, in the cold, with the workflows resort teams and creators actually use. That takes weeks, not days.
- We publish what we find — the good and the bad. Coverage is never guaranteed and conclusions are never negotiable.
The ground rules (read before submitting)
- No review fees. We don't charge for reviews, and we don't accept payment for favorable coverage — both would violate FTC rules and torch the trust this site runs on.
- Product submissions are disclosed. If we kept a unit, the review says so.
- Affiliate links may appear in published reviews (always disclosed). That's how the site earns from work you don't pay for.
- Loaners welcome. If you need the unit back, say so up front — that's fine and doesn't affect coverage.
- If we can't recommend the product, we'll usually tell you before publishing — sometimes the most useful outcome for everyone is no review at all.
What we're most interested in
- Action cameras, mounts, and filming accessories that survive real winters
- Radios and mountain communications
- Resort operations and marketing technology (software counts — demo access works like a product unit)
- Ski and snowboard gear with a story professionals care about
Want guaranteed placement instead of editorial review? That exists — it's called a sponsorship and it's clearly labeled. See Advertise.
